Grooming
Grooming prices at Barkley Square are determined by a formula which takes into account a variety of factors. We start by determining the size of your dog and the length of their coat. If your best friend has a long coat we take into account the condition of the undercoat and weather or not there is any matting that needs to be brushed out. We then determine if your buddy simply needs a bath or if they also need a haircut and a nail trim. In most circumstances, if two or more services are needed, we advise simply asking for "The Works" which includes: a bath and brush-out, a breed-specific hair cut and styling, a nail trim, an ear cleaning, a tooth cleaning and if necessary an anal gland expression.
Discounts are extended to our clients that regularly use our grooming services. This is an encouragement to make the maintenance of your loved one's coat more manageable and less stressful and time consuming for everyone. We also offer grooming discounts to those clients that use our daycare and boarding services.
To get started, we ask that you call Barkley Square at 408-586-8690 to schedule an appointment with Ms. Shannon Case, our master groomer with more then fifteen years experience in the field. Upon your arrival, you will meet with Ms. Case to discuss the grooming process and your best friend's grooming needs. Ms. Case is available for appointments and consultations Thursday through Monday. If you would like an idea of a price range for grooming services before you schedule an appointment, please call Barkley Square and speak with any of our staff members who will gladly ask a few questions and give you a price range into which your buddy will most likely fall.
Because we do grooming by appointment there will be a dyacare charge applied to your bill if we take care of your buddy for longer then one hour after their grooming is completed. The half day and full day daycare charges will take effect after the first and fifth hour we take care of your dog after their appointment.
