Adam Marisa and Bentley

Adam and Marisa Beck met while they were teachers at Mountain View High School. From that moment until now, their animals have been an integral part of their life together. Bentley, the golden retriever, as well as Norbert, Dave and Meeka the cats, all line up for grooming and tooth brushing every morning before the Becks head off to work.

When Adam was a music teacher, he began dreaming of a facility for pets that would combine education, socialization and recreation under the close supervision of a group of trained pet managers who shared the Becks' vision. In the autumn of 2006, Adam and Marisa decided that Adam should retire from teaching to pursue his dream - Barkley Square is the result.

 

 Ms. Shannon Case

 

 
With more then 15 years experience, Ms. Case proves her abilities as a master groomer each time she works with a dog.   Grooming to Ms. Case is not a job but an art.    After spending several years grooming in the small town of Greely Colorado, Ms. Case moved to California to groom at her parents' salon in Santa Clara.  When her parents retired to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Shannon chose to grace Barkley Square’s clientele with her grooming expertise.  When she is not working with the dogs she can be found spending time with her family and friends.     

Mr. Tom Johnston

 

  Tom Johnston must have been  raised by a pack of wolves.  This is the only plausible explanation for his inherent understanding of animal behavior and group dynamics.  Tom is a master of keeping his pack in a calm submissive state.  When Mr. Johnston is not playing with the dogs he usually can  be found at home with a good book.     


Ms. Rachelle Boyd

 

 Rachelle came to America as a foreign exchange student in the spring of 2005.  She had such a great experience that she decided to return to America to persue her education.  At her farm in Hetzerode Germany, her parents raise Shepards as well as Bernice Mountain Dogs.  Growing up with many large dogs has given Rochelle  unique skills that she is able to utilize at Barkley Square.  After finishing her undergraduate work Rochelle hopes to attain her DVM at the University of Illinois.
